former marketing manager of Nema property was on Thursday taken to court, The
Point has been informed.
The former marketing manager who is alleged to have embezzled over million dalasi at Nema Property is charged with stealing.
The public relations officer (PRO), of The Gambia Police Force (GPF) Spt. David Kujabi has confirmed.
The matter was mentioned in court today. However, the case could not proceed as the magistrate who was to preside over the matter was indisposed. The case is now adjourned until Monday 5th of March 2018 for hearing.
The GPF spokesperson said that the accused has been taken back to the Brikama Police Station. “At the moment she has four different cases to answer; so we decided to take her back to custody as detective officers are currently investigating the matter,” he stated.
PRO Kujabi said when the accused person was taken to court, so many people starting coming and complaining about her.
Our reporter has been reliably informed that on Thursday morning, a lady has also complained about the former marketing manager, saying she has bought three plots of land amounting to D450, 000 from the accused.
