The famous Nema Band led by Sheriffo Jobarteh will perform live at the Welingara Cinema hall on Saturday at 4pm onwards to raise funds for 'Children with Learning Difficulties' at the Hart House at Sinchu Alhajie.

The Hart House in collaboration with the Nema Band are organising this event to raise funds for the Hart House that houses and care for over thirty children with learning difficulties.

Mr. Geoff, CEO of the Hart House, reiterated that the establishment needs the attention of the society so as to help the very needy children and their very poor parents. He said that funds raised from this show would be able to help the children who are always needy.

"We also need to take care of our teachers who dedicate their time to enlightening those children entrusted to them. We are getting constant help from no where, people should know this. There is therefore need to help us by coming to the show,"  he says.

He indicated that the entrance fee for adults is D10 and D5 only for children. The band is notable for its entertaining powers in Mandinka and other tribal music to move their audience from bone to soul. The said show will go on from 4:00pm to the wee wee hours only to help the Hart House. "The show is to attract sympathizers and create awareness that an institution that deals with vulnerable children exists," Geoff said.

For his part, Sheriffo Jobarteh says, "Helping young children with learning difficulties is a help to parents and society.

Meanwhile, Rohey Geoff, manager and wife of the CEO are appealing to Gambians and others to help them to help these children.
