Center for Arts and Culture (NCAC) last Friday signed a Memorandum of Understanding
(MoU) with its German partners at a signing ceremony held at NCAC office at
Shortly after signing the MOU, Sheikh Omar Jallow, who represented the NCAC director general, thanked its German partners for the move, saying the project would help the council’s documentation unit, especially in keeping and storing vital information.
“So I would like to say a big thank you for the inputs you have done for us. One can now access these information online, rather than coming all the way from other countries to get access to these materials.”
Professor Owhotu, a board member of the NCAC, also commended their German partners for signing this important document.
“We are very impressed with how the project is going on with its outcome. And of course, if it is not going well, we would not get a second phase or even sign the MOU”, he added.
Dr Katrin Pfeiffer, one of the lecturers from Germany, said there is not much to add on to the value of the project, as he has been coming to The Gambia since 1984, which is now thirty-five years.
Commenting further on the project, Professor.H. Schreiber acknowledged that the whole project is run by the University of Hamburg with funding from RDD Foundation.
