National Rotary Steering Committee gears up for regional district conference

The National Rotary steering committee of The Gambia spearheaded by assistance rotary district Governor Minyany Jobe over the weekend held a meeting at The Gambia Electricals in preparation for the forthcoming international rotary district conference which will be hosted in The Gambia.

The meeting allowed members to discuss modalities and ways for the hosting of the conference.

Briefing the media shortly after the meeting, President of Rotary Club of Banjul Aba Moshood Abalode said Rotarians from The Gambia, Senegal, Mali, Guinea Conakry and Bissau and Cape Verde will participate in the conference.

Mr. Abalode said during the conference platform will be provided where Gambian cultures will be showcased to allow international participants to also enjoy the pleasure and peace that The Gambia continues to enjoy.

Dr. Sapard Vincent Kalala, charted president of Rotary Club of Brusubi who also doubles as Global Peace and Prosperity Initiative goodwill ambassador explained the importance of the conference, saying it will provide Gambia the opportunity to attract investors.
