striker Momodou Ceesay alias Zico will continue his professional career in
Kazakhstan Premier league after signing a deal with another top division side
FC Irtysh Pavlodar.
The veteran striker left relegation side FC Kyzyl-Zhar SK after spending one season with the club to sign a one year contract with FC Irtysh Pavlodar based club.
The five-time Kazakh champions FC Irtysh Pavlodar, wrote on its official website: “Gambian footballer Momodou Ceesay signed a labour agreement with FC Irtysh until the end of 2019 after spending last season with Kyzyl-Zhar SK.”
He scored three goals for his former club Kyzyl-Zhar in fourteen appearances but wasn’t enough to keep the team in the top-tier of the country’s league football.
The former Chelsea target Ceesay began his football career with Wallidan in the Gambia’s top flight league scoring 35 goals since starting professional football in 2008.
