Modou Lamin Sey leaves Real De Banjul

Friday, June 09, 2017

Modou Lamin Sey has left his post as Real De Banjul FC head coach after his contract with the city-boys expired at the end of the 2016-2017 league season.

The City-boys finished third-place in the country’s top flight league behind second-spot Marimoo before losing to Hawks 7-6 on penalties in the FF cup final played at the Independence Stadium last Friday.

This was the second time Real De Banjul finished the season without a trophy since 2014 under coach Alagie Sarr.

It would be recalled that Sey guided Gambia Armed Forces to the 2008-2009 domestic division league title prior to his appointment as Real De Banjul coach last season.
