Modou Barrow scores first goal for Denizlispor

On loaned Gambian attacker Modou Barrow has scored his first goal for his new Turkish side Denizlispor during their 2-0 away win over Antalyaspor in the week-two fixtures of the Turkish Super Lig played at the Antalya Stadyumu on Sunday.

The 26-year-old stunning finished in the 67th minute makes it a comfortable win for Denizlispor after Bahadir Ozturk opened in the 37th minute to make it a 2-0 comfortable win over Antalyaspor.

Barrow who is loaned from English Championship side Reading FC, make his debut game for Denizlispor during their 2-0 home win against the reigning champions Galatasaray last Friday.

Mo Barrow, as he’s fondly called, started brilliantly in Turkey after opening his goal scoring account with a stunning shot finished during his second game in Turkish Premier League otherwise called Super Lig.

The former Nottingham Forest, Blackburn Rovers and Leeds United became the first Gambian international to play and score in the English Premier League.

He scored 14 goals in 83 games for the Royals (Reading FC) and was an influential player in the successful battle to avoid championship relegation last season for Reading FC

The back-to-back for Denzlispor has moved them to second position with six points, while Antalyaspor is in nine position with three points after two matches
