Sarjo Jarju, a military officer attached to State House, yesterday testified in the abuse of office and false information case involving Lt. Col Solo Bojang and Anineh Jammeh, at the Brikama Magistrates’ Court before Magistrate AA Jagne.

In his testimony, Sarjo Jarju told the court he knew Solo Bojang and Anineh Jammeh, as they were his co-workers.

He said he was posted at Kanilai at the time and knew Anineh because he used to see him in Kanilai with Solo.

He said he remembered going to All Kunda Farm many times with the President and met with Solo because Solo would sometimes lead them to the farm because he knows there.

Jarju further said that during their discussion about the farm and feeding of the workers who work on the farm, the President would always ask Solo whether the workers had eaten or not.

He added that the only farm he knows is the airport farm, adding that he did not know anything that transpired between the President and the people in question.

He said Solo was his colleague and also knows that he was overseeing the farm.

“I am a close bodyguard to the President but when it comes to transactions between the President and people, I know nothing about it,” officer Jarju said. The case continues.
