Milan, Darabi secure wins in Tawto Nawettan

Milan and Darabi FC have secured wins over Old Hands FC and Alkali Kunda FC in the ongoing Tawto Nawettan competition.

Milan defeated Old Hands by 2-0 with Abdoul Jallow and Alhagie Colley registering their names on the score sheet in the 15th and 46th minutes of the game.

The senior men, Old Hands missed all their goal scoring chances and ended up paying the prize. Milan now collected 3 points in a single game while Old Hands are without a point in one outing.

Darabi FC beat Alkali Kunda FC by a lone goal, cutesy of Basiru Jallow’s 6 minute effort. The Old Yundum based football club, Darabi also secured maximum 6 points in 2 encounters while Alkali Kunda collected 3 points in 2 games.

Aziz Williams, coach of Old Hands said they will continue to fight for points despite losing their first encounter of the tournament. He said most of his players are veterans who have not kicked a ball in a long time.

Milan FC coach Abdou Gomez warned his players not to be carried away by the win over Old Hands, saying they must continue improving in order to stand a chance of lifting the trophy.
