Director of Kambi Bolong Marine Services Company has said that his company’s
commitment and dedication in providing quality marine services to the Gambian
population, reiterating that the Company is Gambian and committed to provide
redress for all underwater eventualities including dredging and rescue
Morro K Jawneh, who studied marine works at Tous Travaux Sous Marins (TTSM); a Senegalese company engaged in delivering marine and diving said he thought it wise to register Kambi Bolong Marine Services in The Gambia in 2017 to provide marine services to the doorsteps of Gambia.
He said being a young organisation, they are maintaining a strong collaboration with TTSM Senegal with reliable technical backup when required. “That is why our first subcontracted Marine work with Gambia Port Authority which involved cutting iron pipe underwater was quite successful,” he said, adding that their vision is to employ Gambian youth as a way of reducing the rate of unemployment when the Company grows.
Mr. Jawneh said they have great ambitions to establish a technical school to train young Gambians on diving, underwater welding and other marine works. “We would certainly expand countrywide. The Company is currently selling some gadgets for marine services such as life-jackets and welding materials.”
