Mbulum FC lift Ndofan Noran Tourney

Mbulum FC on Sunday defeated Fass Njaga Choi by a goal to nil in the final of Ndofan Youth and Sports committee sponsored Noran tournament, to lift the title in style.

The game, played at the Biri-Biri Football Field in Ndofan Village, was graced by the President of the Gambia Football Association, Seedy M.B. Kinteh, Dr Njogu L. Bah, Secretary General and head of Civil Service among other dignitaries.

The keenly contested encounter also attracted a large crowd of football fans from Ndofan and its surrounding villages.

Mambanyick Faal scored the only goal of the game for Mbulum FC in the 19th minute of the game to give his side the championship title.

Mbulum FC were reduced to ten men in the dying minutes of the game when Pa Ousman Tunkara was sent off after he was shown a second bookable offence.

Mbulum FC received a trophy and a cash prize of D3,000 as winners, while Fass Njaga Choi FC received a consolation prize of D2,000.

In the final of the junior category sponsored by Musa Njie, the general manager of the Independence Stadium in Bakau, Fass Njaga Choi FC beat Kunkujang FC by the same score line to also snatch the trophy of the Under-15 category.

Muhammed Gaye scored the only goal of the game for Fass Njaga Choi that separated the two sides in the 13th minute of the game.

The winners, Fass Njaga Choi FC went home with a cash prize of D1,000 while Kunkujang FC received a consolation prize of D500.
