Marina pupils visit The Point

A group of over 20 students from Marina International Junior School last Wednesday visited the Point Newspaper. They are all members of the school writers club, called Marina Times.  

The students who were led by their teachers: Mr. James Minah and Mr. Fola, were received on behalf of the management by Mr. Nfamara Jawneh, a sub-editor with The Point Newspaper.

After a brief welcoming remarks, he took the students on a conducted tour of the offices and various departments.

He encouraged them to work hard in school while thanking them for the visit.                                                                        

According to him, the management's doors are opened to anyone interested in the field. Journalism, he said, is a very noble profession.

Sallah Bandeh, a pupil at the school, who spoke on behalf of her colleagues, thanked The Point for welcoming them. 

The visit was meant to orient the young writers to have a first hand information about how the major newspaper works.

Saiba Keita, a  lithographer with The Point explained the work of various machine of the paper.
