Marimoo,
Sunday dashed Real De Banjul’s domestic division one league title aspirations
after defeating them 2-0 in week-nine match played at the Banjul KG5 Mini
Stadium.
The
City-boys were topping the league table with 13 points prior to their fixture
with Manjai-based club, who grabbed 10 points. Marimoo bagged three points home
after netting two brilliant goals in the match to close gap on teams above them
in the league standings.
Real
De Banjul re-acted quickly for an equaliser but couldn’t break through
Marimoo’s formidable defence line thus the game ended 2-0 in favour of Marimoo.
Hawks
defeated Samger 1-0 at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium on the same day. Real
De Banjul, Marimoo and Hawks are all with 13 points each after nine league
matches and Samger with 9 points in nine league matches.
