Marie Wada appointed as women’s beach volleyball coach

The Gambia Volleyball Federation has confirmed the appointment of Marie Wada Faye as the coach of the women national beach volleyball team.

The former Gambia international will have her first spell with the national team in the ANOC world beach games in Qatar in October (next month) where Gambia will participate in the FIVB 4x4 beach volleyball competition.

“It is an honor to be the head coach of the women national beach volleyball team, and then to start my coaching career with a world championship showdown. The last weeks have been a fantastic experience and I want to thank all of the players and GVBF for the work we’ve done so far Wada commented.

Meanwhile Pa Baboucarr Barrow who recently won gold at the African Games will start preparations for the Olympics qualifiers in October/November.
