foundation of Gambia international footballer Abdoulie Kenny Mansally has
recently donated school materials, football boots, footballs, shoes and cloths
to pupils of Jara Soma and Kani Kunda Lower Basic Schools. The entourage also
took time to visit the Soma Hospital where they also donated some hospital
The materials, which were purchased at an estimated cost of over two million dalasis, were well received by the beneficiaries most of whom shed tears of joy.
Speaking at the presentation ceremonies, Marcel Mendy, vice president of the Foundation noted that the Foundation aims at helping the less privileged people, particularly those in rural Gambia. He recalled that the Foundation had earlier made similar presentations in other regions of the country.
Abdoulie Kenny Mansally himself stated that the Foundation was born out of his desire to change lives of Gambian young people. The former Gambian U17 and U20 player who is now playing his trade in Finland explained that it was a pleasure for the foundation to be involved in such gestures and that it intends to do more for the people.
