Man arraigned for cheating

Musa Jallow was recently arraigned before Senior Magistrate Secka of the Kanifing Magistrates' Court, charged with cheating.

The accused, Musa Jallow who pleaded not guilty to the charge was granted court bail in the sum of D10, 000, with a Gambian surety who must deposit a national ID card.

According to the charge sheet, on 18th August 2010, at Serrekunda in the Kanifing Municipality, the accused, Musa Jallow by using fraudulent device tampered with the weight machine and obtained from Musa Kebba Manga the sum of D280, being the sale of three kilos of meat and bone, which quantity was less than three kilos.

The case was adjourned to 8th September 2010 for continuation.
