Majorr Saine: Banjul United target second division stay

Apr 13, 2011, 4:07 PM

Majorr Saine, head coach of Banjul United, has stated that their aim is to stay in the second division league, after playing into their second year in the league.

The Banjul coach was plain in stating that any achievement added to their target will come as bonus to them.

Saine was responding to questions by reporters following his team’s 2-1 win over Serrekunda East FC in the second division league game played at the East on Sunday.

He said the performance of his boys against Serrekunda East FC was very good, adding that the only thing they need is motivation.

Nyanga Sallah, head coach of Serrekunda East FC, said the result was disappointing, adding that they created chances but could not capitalise on them. “Finishing was our main problem,” he said.

When asked whether loosing two games in a row was a good start in disguise for his side, he said: “It is not a good start but we will go back and prepare well for our next game to collect maximum three points.”

He said they made two early mistakes on their defensive area and were therefore punished by the opponents Banjul United.
