Majorr Saine appointed Real de Banjul Head Coach

Real de Banjul Football Club is pleased to confirm that Majorr Saine has been appointed as the club’s new Head Coach on a one-season contract with an option for extension.

Saine, who is in his fourth season with Real de Banjul has served as assistant to former coaches Amat Cham, Franky van de Velde and Momodou Lamin Sey, before being appointed as the club’s new gaffer.

The new boss has since started implementing his plans as the team is in its second week of pre-season. The first week saw the team train at the Technical Training Centre in Yundum, before moving to the Beach this week with a regular visit to the gym.

Majorr Saine told real de banjul.com: “I am proud to be the coach of Real de Banjul after three years as assistant. Real de Banjul is the most successful club in The Gambia and I am looking forward to continuing that success”.

“I would like to thank the management for the trust and confidence they have reposed in me”.

Club President William Abraham assured the new gaffer of his executive’s full support. “We’re confident that he’s capable of taking over this job after reviewing the profiles of all the applicants.”

“We received applications from coaches at home and abroad, but he stood out thus being appointed as the new head coach of Real de Banjul”.

“Our objectives are to always be the best team in the country and we wish him all the best with the team.”

Majorr Saine will be assisted by former Real de Banjul midfielder Ebrima Joof, while Abdoulie Bakary Njie, Saihou Manjang and Ebrima Cham continue in their roles as goalkeeper trainer, youth team coach and trainer, respectively.
