Madinary community to inaugurate new mosque today

The multimillion dalasi mosque constructed in Madinary village Kombo West Coast is expected to be inaugurated today, Friday.

The inauguration of the mosque, called Masjid Amina, is expected to be attended by religious leaders, Muslim community elders, and the youth.

The newly-constructed mosque is funded by Khadija Foundation, a Muslim charitable foundation based in London, the UK.

The mosque is constructed by Fhierman family, who are the founder and trustee of the UK foundation through one Master Muhammed S. Jabbi, the principal of Brufut Upper Basic School and also the secretary general of Sukuta-Medina Development Association.

Master Jabbi, in an interview with this paper, thanked the donors and the community of Madinary for their collaboration in the mosque project.

He said the community was really committed in ensuring completion of the mosque.

Master Jabbi commended the Alkalo and council of elders of Madinary for their participation during the construction process.
