Kutub Khand Islamic Book Center in partnership with Muslims friends and
families on Wednesday extended magnanimity to Madarassa schools in the country
by donating 2000 Holy Qurans.
The Center has been supporting Madrassas and other needy Gambians over the years through Muslims from Dewsbury, Blackburn and Leicester. They also construct wells, built toilets and distribute different items like clothing, rice, oil, soap, and chairs to different communities across the country.
Muhammad Njie from Film Organization which was formed 6 months ago by Gambian returnees from US said the Center has also been helping needy people during the holy month of Ramadan and has supported in the construction of Mosques in Serrekunda and Busumbala.
He lauded the donors for the gesture, saying it is good to give a helping hand to the needy and less-privileged people.
