LK Utd ends Second Infantry Battalion triumphant run in 2nd Division

Latrikunda United  on Friday ended Second Infantry Battalion’s triumphant run in the 2018-2019 Gambia Football Federation (GFF) second division league after defeating the Farafenni Barrack-based club1-0 in their week-four fixture played at the Jarra-Soma Mini Stadium.

Coach Mustapha Jammeh’s charges has gathered only 2 points before their clash with Second Infantry Battalion, who won their two opening matches against Serrekunda East Bi 2-1 and Lions of Banjul 2-0 prior to their clash with the soldiers from Farafenni Barrack.

Latrikunda United clutch the victory after notching one goal in the game to end Second Infantry Battalion’s unbeaten run in the second division league.

Team Rhino drew goalless with Banjul-based club Young Africans at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.

Waa Banjul came from one nil down to beat Steve Biko 2-1 at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium while Jambanjelly United drew 2-2 with Kiang West Coast at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium.

First division dropper Bombada slipped to second division league table toppers.Sporting Real 3-2 at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium.

Second-place Serrekunda East Bi thrashed Brufut United 3-1 at the Father Gough Sports Complex in Manjai Kunda.

Immigration beat Lions of Banjul 1-0 at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium.
