Lions of Banjul
will be eyeing for revenge against Gunjur United in the 2017-2018 Gambia
Football Federation second division after losing to the Gunjur-based football
club in the first round.
The Banjul-based club will play against Gunjur-based football club in the week-fourteen fixture on Sunday 4 March at the Independence Stadium in Bakau at 4.00pm.
Lions of Banjul lost to Gunjur United 1-0 in their first outing in the first round of the country’s second tier in January. The Banjul-based football club is two places above safety in the second division league with 13 points after thirteen league matches and will eye for revenge to improve their position in the second tier to avoid relegation to the third tier.
Gunjur United are 8th place in the second tier with 15 points in thirteen league matches following their slow start in the first round.
The Gunjur-based football club will brawl to complete a double over Lions of Banjul to close the gap on teams above them in the league and also increase their chances of gaining promotion to the top flight next season.
