League clubs have started intensive trainings, as the country’s new division one league season edges closer.

Current league champions Brikama United will be fervent to replicate the same performance to retain their league crown but will face stiff competition from heavy-weights such as Wallidan, Real De Banjul, Gambia Ports Authority and Hawks for the 2019-2020 league title.

Banjul United, BK Milan, Tallinding United and Fortune will all prepare themselves well for the new league season to avoid relegation to the second tier to stay in the top flight league for another season.

Newly-promoted sides Waa Banjul and Sporting Real will both grapple to remain themselves in the country’s premier league after gaining promotion to the first division last season.

Meanwhile, the 2019-2020 division one league season will commence in December.
