Lancaster United FC has emerged champions of the 2018 Banjul super cup title. The Lancaster boys defeated arch-rivals Revelation FC 3-2 on penalties after the normal time failed to produce a winner in the final game played at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium over the weekend.
The Mayoress of Banjul Rohey Malick Lowe and other significant dignitaries witnessed the much-anticipated final match.
The final was not an easy road to cross as both teams played defensive and offensive football but the regulation time failed to produce a winner.
This pushed the match into the spot kick, which ended 3-2 in favour of Lancaster United FC.
As champions, Lancaster United went home with a giant trophy and cash prize of D12, 000 while Revelation FC received D10, 000 as the runners up.
