FC and Aljamdu United have secured their places in the semifinals of the
Toubakolong Youths and Sports Development Association nawetan competition
sponsored by Njundu Sonko, a national of Toubakolong residing in the
Lameng FC made it to the semifinals after beating Sitanunku United by a goal to nil in their quarterfinal game played at the Toubakolong football ground on Saturday 9 September 2017.
Ismaila Joof AKA Baye scored the only goal of the game for Lameng FC in the 25th minute of the encounter but was sent off in the 77th minute.
Aljamdu United booked their place in the semifinals after hammering Bakalarr United 4-1 in the quarterfinal clash played on Sunday 10 September 2017.
Alagie Cham, Kebba Cham, Abdoulie Jallow and Sulayman Drammeh were on target for Aljamdu United in the 2nd, 14th, 24th and 87th minutes of the game respectively.
Bakalarr United’s consolation goal was registered by Lamin Sonko from the penalty spot in the 52nd minute.
Bakalarr United ended the game with 10 men following the dismissal of Ebrima Singhateh in the 87th minute.
Meanwhile, Sika United will lock horns with Juffureh United in the other quarterfinal encounter to be played on Saturday 16 September 2017.
Lions of Albreda FC will battle it out with Pakau Penku United in the final quarterfinal game of the competition on Sunday 17 September 2017 at the same football ground in Upper Niumi District, North Bank Region.
