Kololi-Gambia, West Africa) was inaugurated at Kololi Nursery School last
Alhagie Sering Faye called on those living within the environment to take care of the facilities as well as make best use of them.
He noted that acquiring the land for the school came as a result of unity among the community as well as desiring to develop the community and promote education.
He advised the community to be united and have the same vision for the advancement of the area.
He stated that they are the ones that can develop their community for themselves as no one will come from outside to develop it for them.
Hon. Madi Ceesay, National Assembly Member for Serrekunda West described the community as lucky for having solid structures, a clinic and students being sponsored by the foundation.
He thanked donors for their generosity over the years as well as the community for their unity.
Kololi Alkalo Abdoulie Joof on his part expressed gratitude to the donors for supporting the school, students, teachers and nurse of the clinic.
Marie Coker, Head Mistress of the school said with the bantaba, students can now sit and learn and also use the playground to play. She thanked donors for making their dream come true.
Didy Steenhuis of The Future in our Hands (Project Kololi-Gambia, West Africa) said the support over the years is the result of their trying to contribute to the development of the Gambia.
She described the children as the future of the Gambia who should be taken care of, adding that, they want to ensure the students have a strong foundation.
She added that they also want to ensure women have easy access to delivery care which is why they established the clinic.
