In what could be described as a successful first round performance in the ongoing Senegalese Division One League Championship, the Assistant Coach of the Senegalese Division One League giants Jaraaf Amadou Diop has vowed to maintain a top spot in the country's top flight football.

Jaraaf has enjoyed a destructive start to the campaign which saw them climbed at the summit of the league table on 15 points with the second round set to commence next week.

Diop, who has enjoyed a blistering 5 year stint with the team during his playing days with the Teranga Lions of Senegal described Jaraaf as the most outstanding Division One team in Senegal, considering the club's recent success which saw them winning a total of 11 league titles to its name.

It could be recalled that Jaraaf occupied 3rd spot in last year's season, but according to the former Senegalese International star Diop, Jaraaf will go a better step than the last year's achievement, given the fact that it has got the quality to lift the title once again.

Our players are well motivated, and more importantly we have the strong backing of a good number of big men across the country whose significant contribution in the development and promotion of the club has been the key to our success over the years, Diop was quoted as saying by FIFA media participants in an interview at the Estade Demba Diop Stadium in Dakar on Tuesday.

Jaraaf has recorded numerous championship title, as well as the FA cup trophies since the club was founded in 2003, says the founder of the team, Amadou Diop, who remained positive about his team chance of adding another league title to its name.
