“Nomination of candidateswill be held on Thursday 26 February 2015 at the IEC RegionalOffice in Janjanburehfrom 8am to 4pm. Prospective candidatesshould contact the RegionalOffice at Janjanbureh on 3909099 or 3415349 in order to arrange the scheduleof receipt of their nomination papers,” a press release from the IEC stated.
The release added: “In accordance with Section 91 subsection 3 of the 1997 Constitution of The Republic of The Gambia, the Independent Electoral Commission will conduct a National Assembly By-election for the Janjanbureh Constituency in the Central River Region on Thursday 12 March 2015.”
