President Yahya Jammeh has again called on Gambians to be God-fearing and contribute to the socio-economic development of the country.

He made this remark on Tuesday while addressing a rally at Keur Jarka village in Jokadou district in the North Bank Region.

According to GRTS, the President disclosed that more than ten villages in Nuimi will benefit from the second phase of his government’s rural electrification project, which seeks to take energy and power to the doorsteps of all Gambians.

President Jammeh expressed gratitude to the people of the North Bank Region, thanking them for their support and loyalty to his government.

He said worshipping Allah and being hard-working are the key pillars of success.

His government, he noted, would adequately respond to the needs of the people of NBR.

President Jammeh also condemned tribalism and racism in all its forms.

Omar Sey, the Minister of Health and Social Welfare, disclosed that the health centre in Essau, NBR, will be upgraded, with the provision of an ambulance, equipment and medicines in every 25km distance across the region.
