United smashed Gunjur United’s first division league promotion ambitions after
hammering them 4-0 in week twenty-six game of the ongoing Gambia Football
Federation (GFF) second division league, played at the Brikama Box Bar Mini
Stadium on Monday.
The Gunjur-based club was among the teams combating for promotion to the country’s premier tier next season before their match with the Jam city boys, who are brawling for survival in the second tier.
Jambanjelly United scored four comfortable goals without Gunjur United responding to snatch the vital three points to improve their status in the league. They now secured 37 points in twenty-six league matches and Gunjur United with 42 points after twenty-six league outings.
