Cure, the Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album in 2016 is expected to be a
headline act in the Diaspora Festival on 30th December, 2017 at the
Independence Stadium in Bakau in The Gambia.
The first edition of the Diaspora Festival, organized by AJ Promotions is billed to start on 28 December is a Pool Party featuring Tim Westwood and Chris Goldfinger from UK; on 29 December, a Cocktail evening dinner party and on 30 December is the mega concert featuring Jah Cure, Jah Bouks and MikkiRas, all from Jamaica alongside other Gambian artistes includes Sophia, Magnificent Joe, Njie B, Graduate, Suga, Dr. Shaka, A2, Royal Messenger, Nat Easy, T. Smallz, OozDidit, Vybroc, Librator, Mo Hawk, Malick, T Boy, King Pata, Steppa, SataWurie, Ranking Fire, Sparklyn Black, Villian, and Omid Wisdom.
In a video promo, Jah Cure who said he is looking forward to a ‘historic’ concert in The Gambia, equally described his forthcoming visit as ‘homecoming’.
He quipped: “Gambia, listen-up! This is Jah Cure, live saying I will be there for the first-time at the official mega concert of the Diaspora Festival 2017 at the Independence Stadium. I’m in Gambia with AJ Promotions. Make sure you buy your tickets, get ready and prepare for me am coming. I love you Gambia and I know you have been wanting and waiting to see me and I have been waiting to see you too. Expect me as this will be moments to remember.”

Jah Cure and his entourage are due in The Gambia on 27 December 2017, a day after staging a similar concert in Dakar, Senegal.
While in The Gambia, the singer best known for hits including ‘Longing For, Unconditional Love, True Reflection, Call on Me and The Cure’, is also expected to thrill his fans on 28 and 29 at Sand Beach and Bamboo Seaview hotels respectively.
Mo Hawk, chief executive officer of Block Entertainment confirmed that preparations are currently at an advanced stage as some of the billboards, radio adverts and fliers are out.
