Cluster Head teachers Association (JaCHA) in Brikama have certified 28 of its
outstanding students who sat to 2018 internal and external examination in
schools within the cluster.
The initiative targets to motivate students and improve performance and competition in examination.
Secretary Momodou KE Touray said it is their hope that the certificates would encourage the former students and acknowledge their efforts during their time in school. “The Association was established some ten years ago engaging in Mini Coordinating Community Meetings (CCM) and staff capacity building development to inform them of their duties.”
Region 2 Education directorate focal person for special needs education, Yankuba Kujabie said the initiative was a good one and would instill a habit of health competition among students and improve their performance. “With this, every student will now be competing to have the certificate.”
Cluster monitor Sang B Correa thanked the Association for their initiative, saying the move will enable students to maintain healthy competition and improve performance in examination.
