Islamic Scholar Calls for Peace in Palestine

africa » gambia
Monday, January 12, 2009
Oustass Seedia Ceesay of Sanchaba Sulay Jobe in Kombo North District of Western Region has called on the Muslim Ummah in the Gambia and the World at large to offer prayers in their mosques and worshiping places so that peace can prevail in Palestine.

Oustass Ceesay made this appeal last Friday during an interview with the Point at his Sanchaba Sulay Jobe residence. He said Muslim Ummah should pray for the people of Gaza to have ever-lasting peace in their soil. He also noted that prayers should also be extended to those who lost their lives during the attacks. He said any person who died for the cause of defending Islam, your country and yourself will go to heaven. Oustass Ceesay however added that who ever kill someone for defending Islam, his or herself and his or her country will also go to hell. According to Oustass Ceesay fighting in Palestine has been going on sixty years ago, which he added, has led to the lost of many innocent Muslims for no good reasons but hatred against Islam. He called on Muslim countries in the World to support their fellow Muslim brothers and sisters in Palestine to have peace in their country for the sake of Islam.
