Immigration, Blue Star gain Promotion to 2nd Tier

Immigration and Blue Star have been promoted to the country’s second tier after finishing in first and second positions in the 2014 Gambia Football Federation, GFF, third division triangular qualifiers.

Immigration and Blue Star played a goalless stalemate in their final game to finished in first and second places in the GFF qualifiers.

Immigration finished top spot in the third division qualifiers with 10 points in four games, after beating Sait Matty, Marimo and Jambanjelly United, with a goalless draw against Blue Star.

Blue Star snatched the final promotion berth after securing second place in the third division qualifiers.

Immigration and Blue Star will be plying their trade in the second division after their perfect performance in the qualifiers, and are hoping to win their games in order to boost hopes of staying in second division.

Sait Matty, Marimoo and Jambanjelly United are out of the qualifiers after their dismal performance, and will now switch their attention to the regional third division league.
