IHHNL donates 7 cows, food aid to 300 vulnerable children

International Humanitarian Relief Organization (IHHNL), a Turkish charity based in the Netherlands in partnership with Cemiyatul Hyre Relief Organisation (CHRO) have donated seven cows, food aid gifts, and clothing to three hundred vulnerable Gambian children.

The food aid include 940 sacks of rice, sugar, gallons of cooking oil as support to the vulnerable for the Muslim feast of Koriteh. 

The gesture was provided to individuals and organisations within the Greater Banjul Area, West Coast Region and Central River Region.

Musa Jallow, CHRO country coordinator said the two organisation have great desire to support the poor and needy especially during Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

Mr. Jallow revealed that they have now supported close to 1000 people in The Gambia most of who are orphans, women and children. “Our counterparts provide support purely on humanitarian base to the needy and poor for the sake of Allah. We will continue to seek the support and goodwill of all agencies in our quest to contribute our quota in national development.”

Mr. Jallow thanked the government of Turkey for their continued support to needy Gambians.

Deputy Turkish Ambassador to The Gambia Birgi Ertufeklci expressed appreciation over the donated gifts and commended CHRO-The Gambia for their strong partnership with the Turkish organisation.
