Thursday, October 26, 2017

On the 15th and 18th of October 2017, IACR Founder and President Barrister Malick H.B Jallow shared perspectives on topical issues pertaining to human rights in the Gambia  as a speaker at a capacity building forum on human rights convened by the GPU. On strengthening the mechanisms for human rights enforcement in The Gambia, Barrister Jallow remarked that “It is imperative that we set-up an independent and fully fledged National Human Rights Commission to act as a watch-dog in the protection and promotion of Fundamental Rights and Freedoms. Through the work of such an institution, we can ensure that the unfortunate experiences of the past do not manifest itself again.”
