Hawks set to swarm with Seaview in FA Cup Round 16 tomorrow

Hawks will host last year’s FA cup runners up Seaview in the round 16 fixtures of the 2014 Gambia Football Federation GFF FA Competition tomorrow, Friday 30 May 2014, the Brikama Mini Stadium.

Hawks will be aiming for a win against Seaview tomorrow to progress to quarter final as well as fancying their dreams of winning the FA cup after several years of trophy draught.

Sea view were FA cup runners up last season after losing Gamtel on penalties, after the regulation time failed to produced a winner and will searching for a win against Hawks tomorrow to cement a place in the quarter final.

Bombada United will welcome Young Africans at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium; Bombada United lost to Young Africans 4-1 in the round 16 tie last season and will be coming all out for revenge to seal a place in the quarter final.

Young Africans, who won the FA cup in 2009 after beating Gamtel on penalties after goalless draw in the regulation time will be expecting for a win to sail to the quarter final.

Banjul United will battle it out with second tier side Blue Star at the Banjul KG 5 Mini Stadium, the city boys Banjul will be vying for a win against the second tier side to book a place in the quarter final after losing to Real De Banjul in the quarter final last season.

Blue Star, on the other hand will be looking for a win against the premier league side Banjul to advance to the quarter final.

Elsewhere, Serrekunda East will lock horns with Lamin United at the Father Gough Sports Complex in Manjai Kunda, both sides will be coming for a win against each other to progress to the quarter final.

On Saturday 31 May 2014, Samger will face Gambia Ports Authority at the Brikama Mini Stadium; both sides will be placing for a victory against each other to sail to the quarter final.

FA Cup champions Gamtel will play against Wallidan at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium, Gamtel won the FA cup title three consecutive times in a row and will be coming all out for a win against Wallidan to seal a place in the quarter final as well as fancying their chances of retaining the FA Cup title for fifth consecutive time in a row.

Wallidan will also be searching for a win against Gamtel to progress to the quarter final as well as keeping their chances of winning the FA cup title after several years of trophy draught.

Police outfit Interior will take on Real De Banjul at the Father Gough Sports Complex in Manjai Kunda, Interior lost to Gamtel 3-0 in the 2012 FA cup final and will vying for a win against Real De Banjul to advance to the quarter final.

Real De Banjul, on the other hand will be fighting tooth and nail for a victory against the police to sail to the quarter final.

Elsewhere, the reigning league champions Steve Biko will meet Brikama United at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium, both sides will be hoping for a win to progress to quarter final.
