The 2016-2017 Gambia Football Federation FF cup champions Hawks Football Club have confirmed their participation in the 2018 CAF Confederations cup.

The Red Devils beat city-rivals Real De Banjul on penalties, after a 1-1 draw in the regulation time in the final to clinch the FF cup title last season.

Hawks participation in the continent’s second tier football club competition was announced shortly, after their Super cup final victory over the defending league champions Gambia Armed Force played at the Independence Stadium in Bakau on Saturday.

Hawks last appearance in the CAF Confederation was in 2007, when they were eliminated by the Nigerian premier league side Dolphin in the preliminaries.
