Allsvenskan side Hammarby FC are currently eyeing to resign Gambian striker Pa
Amat Dibba from Chinese Superliga club Shenzhen FC.
The 31-year-old Gambian, who left Hammarby for Shenzhen FC, has failed to settle at the club since his move to the newly-promoted Chinese Super League club in June.
According to Gambia Sports, Dibba’s future with Shenzhen remains unclear despite signing a three-year contract, having featured just once for the club with his only appearance coming in a 1-0 defeat at Heilongjiang Lava Spring on 28 July.
Hammarby’s sports director Jesper Jansson has declared the club’s intentions on wanting a return for their former talisman.
“We already said when he left that we hope he will come back sometime. In addition to being a good player, his heart is with Hammarby,” Jansson said in an interview with Football Sthlm.
“He knows where we are and that we are interested. Now that Shenzhen got promoted to the top league in China, there may be competition for the three international places. So we are following developments.”
Pa Dibba scored seven goals in ten appearances in the 2018 Allsvenskan before quitting Hammarby, who finished the season fourth on the league standings.
