Kemo Touray’s first-half dazzling goal has earned FC Halifax Town the 2018 late
Modou Janneh Memorial intermediate knock-out title.
The Gunjur fabaida-based club defeated Barcelona FC 1-0 in the final played at the Gunjur Nyamina football field on Sunday.
Barcelona FC dominated the first five minutes of the match and created numerous goal scoring opportunities but squandered them.
Halifax Town, who were unable to settle in the first half, opened the tally through Kemo Touray before breaking to earn his side the knock-out trophy.
The Gunjur-Misera based club fought hard an equaliser and crafted some goal scoring chances but to no avail thus the game ended 1-0 in favour of FC Halifax Town.
As champions, FC Halifax Town were decorated with an enormous trophy and cash prize of D3, 000 while Barcelona FC received D2, 500 as the runners-up.
