The second regional youth exhibition of The Gambia Youth Chamber of Commerce (GYCC) and their stakeholders will commence this Saturday at the North Bank Region’s commercial town of Farafenni. The exhibition will be held from the 13th to 17th January.
The youth organization is organizing the exhibition in partnership with Youth Empowerment Project (YEP) with funding from the European Union through the International Trade Centre (ITC). The four-day business forum is targeting youth entrepreneurs from across the country.
According to GYCC officials, the organization is mobilizing young entrepreneurs to improve their future by giving them a voice. They will also create market space for young entrepreneurs by organizing regional exhibitions, trainings, mentorship and providing soft loans to support them to become successful entrepreneurs.
The organization is launching its regional chapters and targets to explore other parts of Africa by 2019. “To get the most out of your investment, exhibitions are the best platform which will bring young entrepreneurs into the industry. This will give them the opportunity to market their products, interact and network and take time to learn about their business.”
