Wednesday, November 22, 2017

Newly-promoted sides Gunjur United and Immigration are both eyeing  their first victory in the 2017-2018 Gambia Football Federation second division league today, Wednesday 22 November 2017.

Gunjur United will play away to fellow promoted side Latrikunda United in the week-three fixtures at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.

The Gunjur-based football club is currently occupying second-place from bottom with 1 point in two matches and will target to defeat Latrikunda United to register their first win in the second tier.

The Latrikunda German-based outfit is mid-table in the second tier and will brawl to beat Gunjur United to bounce back, after losing to relegate side Serrekunda United 1-0 last week.

Elsewhere, Immigration will clash with Brufut United in the other week-three fixtures at the Independence Stadium in Bakau on the same day.

Immigration are three places from bottom with 1 point from two matches, and will vie to pound Brufut United to recover, after slipping to Wallidan 2-1 last week.

Brufut United are in the second position in the second tier with 4 points in two matches, and will aim to trounce Immigration and hope that Serrekunda United slip in their third match to top the league.
