The 2016 Green Vision International Estate Company Limited-sponsored Gunjur Nawettan group matches are set to wrap up this weekend at the Gunjur Nyamina Football Field.

As part of final group matches, today, Friday 19 August 2016, Gam Rock FC will clash with Kajabang FC in group B.

The Newtown-based are second spot in group B with 4 points after their goalless draw against Lanuja FC and 2-1win over Kundembo FC in their two opening matches. And they need just a point to advance to the quarterfinal but a massive defeat against Kajabang FC will see them out and Kajabang FC through to the last eight.

On Saturday 20 August 2016, Reliance Financial Services will play against Gamcel FC Halifax Town in group C.

Reliance and Halifax Town are both with 2 points in two games after drawing their two opening games against Red Star Family FC and Smiling Coast Real Estate Company Limited FC, and will be fighting to beat each other to keep their chances of qualifying for the quarterfinal and also avoid relegation so as to stay in the nawettan proper next season.

Elsewhere, on Sunday 21 August 2016, Waves FC will rub shoulders with Sibindinto FC in group D tie.

Waves FC are third place in group D with 2 points in two games after drawing their two opening group matches, and only a win will get them to advance to the quarterfinal but a draw will see FC Bax advanced to the quarterfinal despite losing to Black Star FC 1-0 in their final group matches.

Sibindinto FC are already out of the nawettan after occupying bottom place in group D with zero point, after losing their two opening matches against FC Bax 2-0 and Black Star 1-0.

They therefore need to beat Waves FC to avoid relegation and to stay in the nawettan proper next season, following their woeful start to the summer biggest football fray.
