Guinean national jailed

Principal Magistrate Emmanuel Amadi of the Brikama Magistrates' Court recently convicted and sentenced one Ebrima Jallow, a Guinean national to mandatory jail term of two years in prison.

Delivering his judgment, Principal Magistrate Emmanuel Amadi stated that, the convict was arrested at the Banjul International Airport on 13th February 2010, when he presented himself to the Spanish airline residential number E157099, with the name of Momodou Jallow.

He said the convict having admitted the fact, begged the court to temper justice with mercy by stating that he is a family man.

It could be recalled that the convict on 13th February 2010 at the Banjul International Airport, with intent to travel to Spain impersonated himself by being the holder of the passport No PL 157929 and Spanish residential card E157099.
