Bojang-Sossoho, Director of Press and public relation at the office of the
president has revealed to journalists at a recent press briefing that President
Adama Barrow has been updated on the progress of work to transform The Gambia
Technical Training Institute (GTTI) to a University.
She also revealed that government policy championed by the Ministry of higher education to focus on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) as a mean of powering the human resources base of the country is progressing.
She said the president has been also briefed on the state of preparedness for the 2018/2019 rainy season. “The president has been also told about an old fertilizer stock that has been allegedly sold by the Ministry of Agriculture. Investigation has been conducted and the report has been submitted to the Ministry of Justice for legal advice which the president is waiting for,” she said.
