GTSC honour customers of the year

The Gambia Transport Service Company (GTSC) yesterday rewarded various gifts to its loyal customers who have been actively using their various services including transportation. The reward ceremony was held at the company’s depot in Kanifing.

By far, GTSC offers the largest road transportation with varied services ranging from super, normal, nuwari and ordinary express services, school transport and international services. The customer loyalty and patronage scheme attracted customers from around the country to collect bags of rice, several liters of cooking oil, tomato paste cans and bags of onion.

Babou Johm, the company’s traffic manager said the company started operation in July 2013 with an initial fleet of 48 buses but with dedication and commitment, they now have a fleet of 68 buses.

Johm recalled that they commenced operations with limited routes in the country, saying over the years the company continues to make progress in the transportation sector by introducing more routes in the country and even beyond.

He thanked the customers for their loyalty and patronage to the company over the years and encouraged others to use their convenient and affordable services. “We value our customers and we will continue to ensure that we provide convenient and safe services for all in the country and beyond.”

Fabuka Njaay, the company’s marketing manager emphasized that customers’ satisfaction is always central to the success of any company, affirming that they attached great importance in meeting the pleasure of their customers. “GTSC will continue to ensure that in anything we do is beneficial to our customers. The buses are meant to transport passengers so it is crucial that as a company we work very hard to offer services that are reasonable, safe, convenient and comfortable.”

Mr. Njaay commended their customers and highlighted that as part of their interactive marketing strategy, these customers would be consulted by the company on regular basis for their suggestions, inputs and insight to create value.

Raymond Ceesay, head of human resource administration thanked their loyal customers for their patronage, affirming that GTSC buses are for all and that they value their customers in providing safe and easy transportation.

He encouraged customers to also make suggestions for the company’s progress and improvement.

Edrissa Sawaneh, Muhammed Camara, Muhammed Hydara and Abdoulie Gaye some of the rewarded customers all hailed the transportation company for the surprised package, affirming that travelling in GTSC buses is not only reasonable but safe and fast.
