GTSC eyes 3 more countries

In their quest to expand international services in the region, The Gambia Transport Service Company (GTSC) is looking into ways of expanding its services to three more destinations in the region.

Fabuka Njaay, marketing manager of GTSC was speaking during a recent exclusive interview with The Point.

On top of its international services connecting Banjul/Dakar and Bissau, Njaay disclosed that they also want to expand their services to Guinea Conakry, Liberia and Sierra Leone in the near future.

By far GTSC offers the largest road transportation with varied services ranging from super, normal, nuwari, ordinary, express and international services just to name a few.

“All these are in our plans and we even trying to get more buses to increase our fleet size. So we have plans to expand in the near future”

He underscored that the company attaches great importance to customers satisfaction, saying their international transportation services has now make travelling more convenient, safe and reliable for the people.

Njaay made reference to the fact initially when one is travelling to Dakar, passengers normally take three cars before arriving in their final destination.

But with the introduction of their express services, he went on, one can leave their depot in Kanifing straight to Dakar.

He acknowledged that passengers even appreciate their services.

 “As a company we will look into ways of how to find tuned the transport requirements of The Gambian population as a whole. So we will continue to do more research which my department does a lot”

He noted that they will continue to meet the passengers and hear from them, pointing out that at GTSC they will ensure that whatever they do is to the benefit of their customers.

Starting operations in July 2013 with an initial fleet of 48 buses, GTSC has now a total fleet of 68 buses.
