Gambia Police Force (GPF) has strongly warned vehicle owners and drivers that
they must ensure that their vehicles always have number plates and drivers also
are in possession of valid drivers’ licence.
“The Office of the Inspector General of Police hereby informs the general public that vehicle number plates and drivers’ licences are available at the Police Headquarters in Banjul and various Regional Police Head Offices nationwide,” the police say in statement.
The release further added that vehicle owners and driver’s who applied and paid for vehicle number plates and driver’s licenses up to 31 of March, 2018, are requested to collect their number plates and licences from where they made their applications.
Furthermore, the office of the Inspector General of Police informs the general public that the police will be on the highways to ensure that traffic laws are enforced to the latter. “Therefore, anyone found wanting would be dealt with according to law.”
