GPA and NISA level one coaching course ends

Gambia Pentathlon Association (GPA) and the National Inter-Departmental Sports Association (NISA) five days level one coaching course has concluded at Independence Stadium VIP Lounge in Bakau.

The training was conducted under the auspices of the Union Internationale De Pentathlon Moderne (UIPM) meant to build the capacity of coaches in the country especially at grass-root level.

President of The Gambia Pentathlon Association Saikou B. Jarju expressed appreciation to Mr. Denis, a trainer from Latvia for giving assistance to The Gambian coaches.

He said The Gambia Pentathlon Association (GPA) was formed in 2014, saying that since its inception, the Association tasked itself to promote and develop the game of Pentathlon in the country especially at grass-root level.

Jarju urged the coaches to utilize the knowledge gained from the training and to share it with their communities particularly in schools.

Trainer, Denis Cerkoyskis hailed the participant for comporting themselves throughout the course of the training, noting that the course would aid coaches in their coaching.

Yerro S. Sowe, a participant applauded pentathlon Association for their good job, noting that the training would go a long way in promoting the game of Pentathlon in The Gambia.
