Wednesday, March 17, 2010

As part of their efforts to develop and promote Islam and Arabic education in Ghana Town and its environs, the Muslim community residing in Ghana Town is currently embarking on the construction of an Arabic school.

Speaking in an interview with this reporter, the Imam of Ghana Town, Dr. Al-Hassan-Bin Abubakarr underscored the importance of constructing an Arabic school in the area.

The Arabic school, he added, would give upcoming children and adults the opportunity to learn how to read and memorise the Holy Quran, if completed.

He expressed his willingness to promote Islamic and Arabic education in Ghana Town and its environs, which he stated, is geared towards alleviating ignorance.

He appealed to companies, individuals, private sector and the government to come to their aid.
